Special Inspections: Not Just for Structural Engineers10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Galt House East LouisvilleDeveloped and sponsored by the Structural Engineers Association of Kentucky (SEAoK). In cooperation with AIA Kentucky, 5 AIA/CES learning units will be reported for AIA members attending this program.The goal of this program is to get all design professionals (architects and engineers), code officials, contractors and owners īn the same page when it comes to Special Inspections. The following will be discussed:- What Special Inspections are.- Why Special Inspections are necessary.- Who is responsible for what and when.- Who pays for what?- How to budget for Special Inspections. Participants will receive a document entitled SPECIAL INSPECTIONS: GUIDELINES FOR OWNERS, ARCHITECTS, ENGINEERS, CONSTRUCTORS, CODE OFFICIALS AND INSPECTORS, developed by SEAoK to help clarify and explain Special Inspections to the building design and trade industries.
